Happy birthday~
Today is my birthday. I didn’t really plan to celebrate it in any special way—just another normal day. When I woke up this morning, I noticed a few messages from friends wishing me a happy birthday. It was a small thing, but it definitely made the morning feel a bit warmer.
Work was pretty normal. A couple of coworkers found out it was my birthday and insisted on getting lunch together. Nothing fancy, just a simple meal and some casual conversation. They joked about me getting older, which I guess is unavoidable every year.
After work I headed home earlier than usual. I stopped by a small bakery on the way and bought a slice of cake for myself. It felt a little funny celebrating alone, but at the same time it was actually quite relaxing. Sometimes a quiet evening is exactly what you need.
Later at night I spent some time browsing a few tech blogs and organizing some notes I’ve been writing recently. I’ve been trying to keep things documented more regularly—ideas, small projects, random thoughts.
Birthdays used to feel like a big event when I was younger. These days they’re a lot simpler, but maybe that’s not a bad thing. A calm day, a few messages from friends, and some time to myself feels like a pretty decent way to mark another year.
